Complaints & Appeals
The International Journal of Social Studies in Sport (IJSSS) is committed to handling complaints and appeals fairly, objectively, confidentially, and in accordance with principles of publication ethics.
Authors, reviewers, readers, and other stakeholders may submit complaints or appeals concerning editorial decisions, peer review processes, publication ethics, conflicts of interest, published content, or journal procedures.
Appeals against editorial decisions should include a clear explanation of the reasons for the appeal, the manuscript title, manuscript ID where available, and any relevant supporting information.
Complaints and appeals should be submitted by e-mail to:
[journal e-mail]
The editorial team will review each case and provide a response within a reasonable period, normally within 15–30 days.
Complaints or appeals involving the Editor-in-Chief will be handled by another appropriate member of the editorial team or editorial board to ensure impartiality.
Submitting an appeal does not guarantee a change in the original editorial decision. Final decisions are made after reviewing the relevant information, editorial records, and, where appropriate, reviewer reports.
IJSSS will take appropriate action when a complaint identifies a potential breach of publication ethics, editorial procedure, or research integrity.
