AI Policy

Authors must disclose the use of artificial intelligence tools when such tools are used in the preparation of a manuscript for purposes including text generation, translation, language editing, data analysis, coding, image production, or similar activities.

AI tools cannot be listed as authors. Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, ethical compliance, and integrity of all content included in the submitted manuscript.

When AI tools are used, authors should clearly state the name of the tool, the purpose of its use, and the stage or section of the manuscript in which it was used, where applicable.

Authors are responsible for verifying all AI-assisted content, including references, quotations, interpretations, analyses, and methodological descriptions. AI tools must not be used to fabricate data, generate false references, misrepresent research findings, manipulate images inappropriately, or replace scholarly judgment and responsibility.

Confidential data, unpublished research materials, personal information, identifiable participant data, or other sensitive information should not be uploaded to AI tools unless appropriate safeguards, permissions, and ethical requirements are in place.

The use of AI tools for routine language improvement, translation, or technical assistance does not transfer responsibility from the authors. Authors are expected to review and approve the final manuscript in its entirety before submission.

Failure to disclose substantial use of AI tools or the inappropriate use of AI-generated content may be considered a publication ethics concern and may result in editorial action in accordance with the journal’s Publication Ethics Policy.
