Submission Checklist

Before submitting a manuscript to the International Journal of Social Studies in Sport (IJSSS), authors must ensure that all submission requirements have been met.

Please confirm that:

  • the manuscript falls within the aims and scope of IJSSS

  • the manuscript is original, unpublished, and not under consideration by another journal

  • the manuscript has been prepared in accordance with the Author Guidelines, Writing Rules, Manuscript Preparation Guide, and official Manuscript Template

  • the manuscript is written in English

  • the main manuscript file has been anonymized for double-blind peer review

  • author names, affiliations, ORCID IDs, and corresponding author information are provided separately in the Title Page

  • the abstract and keywords comply with journal requirements

  • all references are complete, accurate, and formatted according to APA 7

  • all tables and figures are numbered, titled, cited in the text, and prepared in an appropriate format

  • ethics committee approval and informed consent information are provided where required

  • conflict of interest and funding statements are included where applicable

  • author contribution information is complete

  • data availability information is provided where applicable

  • the use of artificial intelligence tools has been disclosed where applicable

  • permission has been obtained for any copyrighted or third-party material included in the manuscript

  • all listed authors have reviewed and approved the final version of the submitted manuscript

  • all required submission files and declarations have been uploaded

Submissions that do not meet the journal’s requirements may be returned to the authors for technical revision before editorial evaluation.
